A production quality like frozen sandpaper... I fuckin' LIKE IT! Always a sucker for anything that utilizes a lot of skank-beat composition. The thick, distorted, treble-heavy shrieking of a vocal style sounds mean as hell here. Kind of a nice little moshpit-inducing piece with an enjoyably abrasive texture. \m/

This is what George Mallory must've heard on Mount Everest right before he fucking died. There is a powerful atmosphere of desolation and lonely terror going on here. It really makes me imagine being hopelessly caught in a blinding blizzard. The tone and the rhythm guitar, really. Black Metal and Doom Metal often hit similar spots, for me. Doom metal often gives you images of crushing, cold inevitability and black metal like THIS piece gives you the same thing but with a very different flavor. (if that makes sense to anyone else) Anyway, I really like it! \m/

HBM posted this album on his YT channel fairly recently and I was rather intrigued by it. It's REALLY hard to get existing physical copies of this stuff though. I feel like I've been spoiled by Bandcamp and Discogs, being able to order MOST of what I want, JUST from those two sources. That's part of the appeal of underground stuff though. The ever-elusive nature of physical media. hehe Anyhow, I really dig it. \m/

This was the song I was looking for while Hipster Black Metal had shown that cool Myth of Darkness promotional video. I absolutely like this one a lot.
